Joey - Adopted

Gorgeous Joey has had a terrible start to life and after rescuing him and getting him better is now ready to look for a home.

Joey ‘the joker’ as we call him is approx 1 year of age is the most amazing, funny, loving, laid back, playful, happy go lucky boy we’ve ever hadHis personality is one in a million and has you laughing all day long.
He’s a miracle boy as after being dumped and left to fend for himself starving hungry he still loves everyone, every dog and every day! He has lots of energy and is looking for an active home. Once he gets his exercise he’s great as will sleep in his funny positions and then he’s ready to get going again!
He needs teaching to walk on the lead as he’s scared of it and also traffic so needs a quieter area and someone that has time to spend with him.
He’s truly a wonderful boy and whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky!

Gorgeous Bruno is looking for a home
This poor little chap has really been through so much and now it’s his time to find his happy ever after
Back in April Bruno was found on the street by passers by and had been attacked, we think by another dog. They took him to a vet who stitched his head up and treated him but no owners were to be found or come forward. Sadly he ended up in a shelter not knowing what was happening to him. Even worse due to the heatwave, we’ve had lots of fires on the island and the shelter he was in burnt down!!! I found him running to get away, scooped him up and got him to safety.
He is around 3 years old and just the most beautiful chap who is very quiet and laid back. He’s just looking for a quiet home where he can relax and be with you as he loves a good fuss. He can be a little nervous around other dogs if they are big and boisterous so he’s looking for a home where he can be an only dog and have his humans all to himself He’s only small around 10kg and is fully grown. He loves to go out for walks and is very inquisitive and loves to know what’s going on. He’s so quiet you wouldn’t know you had him and just wants love, love, love…..

This is Jack the most stunning Setter x Spaniel ♥️♥️♥️ Jack was dumped some months ago and in bad shape. He had a terrible injury to his ear, was severely dehydrated, coughing, breathing with a little difficulty and his bloods were in really bad shape that we thought he had something seriously wrong with him. After all this time medication, good food and love is all Jack really needed to get getter. He’s a super affectionate dog, approx20 months old, good with people and dogs and is looking for a super, super active country home that can give him what he needs as he’s so full of energy!!!! He loves to play ball for hours on end and would love to going out running etc! He still needs to gain some weight and we think should be around 23kgs as was only 17kg when we rescued him. Jack has been trained in the past as he’s pretty alert and responsive to what you ask of him.

Pluto - Available

Gorgeous Pluto is looking for a home.
Back in April this year this gorgeous little chap was found dumped on the beach. He could hardly stand from exhaustion and dehydration and desperately needed vet care. He was scared but just to exhausted to react to anything and slept most of the way home.
His ears were torn and bleeding from where I guess another dog had attacked him, he was severely anemic and his hair had turned yellow and lumpy and was all falling out!
Today Pluto is a different dog! He is now in full health and all his hair has grown back. He’s had good nutrition and lots of love and care these past few months that he’s now ready for adoption and looking for a home.
Pluto is a beautiful fun loving hound, he loves cuddles on the sofa, playing with his raggy toy and all the other dogs. He loves people and is so well behaved. He can be a little timid when out and about but that will all come in good time. He loves relaxing and takes himself off for a sleep when he’s tired. He’s approx. just under 2 years old. Fully blood tested, neutered around 17kgs and now needs to find his perfect home.
He’s looking for a country home with a nice enclosed garden where he can have a good run around.
He really is the perfect dog It will be a wrench to let this little chap go as he’s just been a delight and if we had room would definitely have kept him as in my eyes he’s just so perfect and precious!

Mona and Spot are looking for a home
Poor Mona and her puppy Spot were dumped on our drive back in some time ago by some heartless fool! They were living on our drive for some weeks as we simply didn't have the room to take them in. The heat was getting to much and we were concerned they would be bitten by a viper and as we only have larger breed dogs in our rescue kennels it just wasn't viable for them. We decided to bring them into the house and so have now learnt how to live happily in a home after Mona being a frightened street dog. They have been living with us for a long time and are now looking for a home together. They are fully house trained and the very best of friends! They eat together, sleep together, play together and keep themselves amused all day!
They are Kokoni cross's so only small with Mona weighing in at 8kgs. She is approx 3 and a half years old and has had a hard life up to now having puppies when she is only a puppy herself! She is super loving an affectionate once she knows you and is great with other dogs.
Spot is now approx 2 and a half years old, approx 11kg, fully house trained and a typical happy go lucky boy with a big personality and loves playing with dogs big and small.
Mona and Spot are both neutered blood tested, vaccinated, microchipped and are looking for a home together as they are so attached in the country Having them together is wonderful as they entertain themselves all day long as they are the best of friends.

Elliot - Available

Elliot is a gorgeous Jura Hound looking for a home.
Elliot was dumped a few months back now and was just too scared to be caught so ended up living rough in a field behind a warehouse for some weeks until eventually he was caught and rescued.
He was terrified at first and obviously humans had not been kind to him and so he found his bravery through the other dogs
Elliot is a kind, sweet-natured hound, who loves to please. He is a bit shy until he gains your trust, then he is a gentle and loving boy who likes to snuggle on the sofa, play with toys and chase around with other dogs.
He gets on with all dogs and is gentle with cats. He likes to go for gentle walks and is still getting used to be on a lead.
He has a basic recall in the home and garden however he is a hound so will need lots of patience and training before he can eventually be let off lead.
He has an inquisitive nature and likes to use his nose to explore his environment. He is an active boy who loves to run around playing with other dogs, digging holes, and chasing a ball. One of his favorite toys is a soft teddy that squeaks, and he enjoys carrying it around gently squeaking it as he goes!
He will occasionally steal a slipper or shoe, not to chew, but just to parade with proudly! He has the gentlest nature, softest mouth and will be a truly loving and loyal companion.
Elliot is looking for a country home with another well balanced dog/s where he can enjoy his best life! He’s approx. 18 months of age and is medium in size weighing 20kg.

Gorgeous Leo - Lab x Pointer is looking for a home.
Our gorgeous Leo is looking for a family of his own to live him. He was dumped in the mountains along with another dog who we believe to be his mum and just left. Luckily he was found and taken in by a kind man who looked after him at his warehouse. Sadly he had to leave and so did the dogs too so they went into kennels and hadn’t been successful finding a home so we brought them here to LCDR a few weeks ago to see if we can find them a lovely family. His mum has now found hers and flys next week so poor Leo will be left
Leo is a stunningly affectionate, gorgeous boy who will have a fuss ALL DAY long if he could! He’s super friendly and a great companion. He is blind in one eye due to an old trauma however you would never know as he loves to play and run around just like any other dog!
He is looking for a home either as an only dog or a home with another dog/s that aren’t too boisterous as it scares him a little. Winnie - Adopted

Gorgeous Winnie is looking for a home.
Sadly here in Cyprus there are many dogs dumped and left by their owners with nowhere to go Winnie was found and put in a pound but we have no idea where she came from or what happened to her. She was emaciated and filthy and clearly had been living in disgusting conditions.
We were asked to help her so she could get out of the pound as they are all bursting with abandoned dogs so she came to us to learn about living in a family home and receive the tlc she desperately needed.
She is such a sweet natured girl! Approx 12 months old, fantastic with other dogs and is super, super affectionate. She loves to play with our other dogs and have a good cuddle on the sofa
Winnie is fully vaccinated, blood tested and spayed and now just needs someone to love her.

Meet the gorgeous Watson.

He is a stunning Bleu de Gascogne x, approximately 8 months old and is looking for a home.
He’s a gorgeous little chap that we found dumped in the mountains some time ago. He’s super playful and very cheeky! Loves other dogs and loves to play all day! He also loves a good cuddle at night on the sofa!
Watsons breed is not for the faint hearted and although he looks super cute he’s looking for a home that can put a lot of training in and lots of exercise! He’d be an fantastic running partner when he’s old enough and ideally he’s looking for a home with another dog. Exercise and mental stimulation is the key to having this breed and once you achieve that you’ve got a lovely lazy sofa hound
