Uttar Pradesh Republic Day Parade Tableaux
Uttar Pradesh’s tableau for the 2024 Republic Day parade features the “Namo Bharat Train” and the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Sahibabad Station. The tableau will also showcase the ongoing Metro work in the state.

Uttar Pradesh’s tableau won second place in the 2023 Republic Day parade. In 2022, Uttar Pradesh’s tableau was based on the theme “One District One Product and Kashi Vishwanath Dham”.
Andhra Pradesh Republic Day Parade Tableaux
Andhra Pradesh is set to shine a spotlight on its advancements in education through its Republic Day tableau. The state intends to creatively portray the flourishing panorama of newly established schools and institutes that are fostering the growth of young minds. In addition to showcasing state-of-the-art educational infrastructure, the tableau will feature skilled performers adorned in vibrant costumes, proudly presenting Andhra’s cultural heritage through the graceful art of Kuchipudi classical dance.

Rajasthan Republic Day Tableaux

The exhibit will also highlight the state’s rich handicraft traditions, including bandhej, bagru print, and applique work.

Chhattisgarh’s tableau exhibits Bastar’s ‘Muria Darbar,’ a 600-year-old tribal tradition of community decision-making. The theme aligns with the national theme, emphasizing the equal involvement of men and women in decision-making within the Bastar tribal community.
Ladakh Republic Day Tableaux
Ladakh’s tableau highlights the Indian women’s ice hockey team, showcasing their achievements and contributions to sports.
Manipur Republic Day Tableaux

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) tableau focuses on the theme of ‘women empowerment,’ prominently featuring all the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
IAF Republic Day Tableaux
The Indian Air Force (IAF) tableau, themed “Indian Air Force: Power Beyond Boundaries,” showcases major IAF assets, including recently inducted ones.
ISRO Republic Day Tableaux
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) participated in the 2024 Republic Day parade with a tableau that highlighted the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The theme of the tableau was “Chandrayaan 3 – A Saga in the Indian Space History”.
The tableau featured a model of the Launch Vehicle Mark-3, which carried Chandrayaan-3 to the moon. It also included the lunar landing site, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi named Shiv Shakti Point. The tableau also highlighted the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft near the moon’s south pole and the Aditya L-1 mission to study the sun.

Presented by the Ministry of Culture, the Republic Day tableau depicted the evolution of democracy from ancient India to the present day, employing cutting-edge 3-D electronic visualization technology.

How Republic Day Tableaux are selected?
Following tradition, the meticulous selection of tableaux for the Republic Day Parade is conducted by an expert committee comprising distinguished individuals in fields such as art, culture, painting, sculpture, music, architecture, choreography, and more.
Addressing concerns raised by certain States and Union Territories (UTs) about the non-inclusion of their tableaux in the parade, the Defence Secretary underscored the Ministry of Defence’s innovative approach. Introducing a novel three-year roll-over plan, this initiative guarantees fair and rotational participation for all states and UTs over the course of three years. This strategic plan aims to ensure that each region gets an opportunity to showcase its cultural and thematic richness on the grand stage of the Republic Day Parade, fostering inclusivity and equitable representation.
